TASTING NOTES
Nose: Aromatic and layered, with ripe red cherry, blackcurrant and plum, accented by leather, tobacco and earthy spice over dusty rose and burnt orange zest
Palate: Medium to full bodied and refined, silky textured, the ripe red fruit gaining tension from a saline edged acidity
Structure: Firm and assertive but chalky, with well integrated tannins

- 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

WINEMAKING
Matured twelve to sixteen months in a combination of tonneaux and botti
*Carmignano was blending Cabernet with Sangiovese long before the Super Tuscans made it fashionable.*
