Appearance: Medium straw
Nose: Grape flower, apple and pear, with lemon curd and gooseberry
Palate: Ripe apricot and peach with lemon curd and bright lemon pith, sleek and intense
Finish: Long and refreshing
VARIETAL
Furmint, made dry
REGION
Tokaj, Hungary
WINEMAKING
Whole bunch pressed, then fermented partly in stainless steel and partly in barrel with 15% new oak. Held on fine lees for four to five months for roundness and structure
FOOD PAIRING
An aperitif, or with seafood, white meats or spicy food
*Tokaj is famous for sweet wine, but dry Furmint is the region's other story.*
