Discover the elegant expression of Chile's renowned Apalta Valley with Casa Lapostolle Cabernet Sauvignon. This distinguished wine embodies the perfect marriage of French winemaking tradition and Chile's exceptional terroir, crafted by the historic Marnier-Lapostolle family whose legacy in fine wines spans seven generations.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Intense, deep red color with vibrant purple edges.

Nose: Expressive and concentrated bouquet featuring pronounced cassis and black currant aromas with subtle hints of spice and graphite.

Palate: Elegant structure with remarkable balance between power and finesse. The palate reveals layers of fresh cherry and black fruit complemented by light toast flavors. Round, persistent tannins provide excellent structure while maintaining smoothness, leading to a sophisticated, lingering finish.

Behind the Wine

Founded in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and Cyril de Bournet, Casa Lapostolle was established upon their discovery of century-old pre-phylloxera vines in the Apalta Valley. Today, under the leadership of seventh-generation family member Charles de Bournet and Technical Director & Winemaker Andrea León, the winery continues its commitment to excellence while embracing biodynamic practices.

This Cabernet Sauvignon benefits from the unique microclimate and terroir of the Apalta DO (recognized in 2018), where ideal growing conditions produce grapes of exceptional quality and concentration. The winery's Demeter-certified biodynamic approach ensures wines that authentically express their origin while respecting the environment.

Perfect Pairings

This refined Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with richly flavored dishes such as herb-crusted lamb shank or pork fillet with mustard and honey. It also complements grilled red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
