Hospice of North Idaho (HONI) is a non-profit organization that provides end-of-life care and support services to patients and their families in northern Idaho. They serve communities throughout the region, including Kootenai, Shoshone, and Benewah counties.
The organization offers comprehensive hospice care, which includes:
Medical care and pain management from a team of healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, and certified nursing assistants Emotional and spiritual support through social workers and chaplains Assistance with daily living activities Grief counseling and bereavement support for families, both during hospice care and after their loved one's passing Equipment and medical supplies needed for in-home care
Hospice of North Idaho operates the Schneidmiller House, an inpatient hospice facility in Coeur d'Alene that provides 24-hour care for patients who need more intensive support than can be provided at home.
