Taste
True to its name, Inkblot pours deep and opaque. Aromas burst with boysenberry jam, ripe plum, and molasses, layered with hints of licorice, black pepper, and dark oak. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, showing concentrated dark fruit flavors framed by firm, tooth-staining tannins. Notes of spice and subtle oak carry through a long, satisfying finish built for bold food and bold moods.
About the Winery / Winemaker
Founded in 1984, Michael David Winery has built its reputation on expressive, character-driven wines from Lodi. The Inkblot line was created to spotlight grapes often used as blending components—giving them center stage instead. Petite Sirah, long prized by the winery for its color, power, and concentration, is a natural fit for a label that celebrates big, unapologetic wines.
Why We Love It
This is not a shy wine—and that’s exactly the point. Inkblot Petite Sirah is a go-to for customers who love intensity, richness, and serious structure. It’s fantastic with grilled meats, barbecue, and anything that needs a wine with backbone. If someone says, “I like big reds,” this bottle delivers.
