TASTING NOTES
Nose: White flowers, citrus and yellow fleshed fruit, with pear and citrus blossom
Palate: Ripe and juicy but straight and elegant, carried on remarkable mineral tension
Finish: Intense, pure and crystalline, with the saline signature of fine Savennières
VARIETAL
Chenin Blanc
APPELLATION
Savennières, Loire Valley, France
WINEMAKING
Twelve months in oak barrel, then six more months on fine lees in large oak vats. No malolactic fermentation, which keeps the aromatics and the tension intact
*Dry Chenin from one of the Loire's great white appellations, and the salinity is the tell.*
