Shaya Verdejo is a distinctive white wine from the Rueda region produced by Bodegas Shaya. This Spanish wine is made from 100% Verdejo grapes harvested from low-yielding, 70-year-old vineyards near Segovia, grown in sandy-clayey soils under organic farming practices.
Winemaking Process | After careful harvesting, 80% of the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks while 20% ferments in French oak barrels. The wine ages for 4-6 months, with portions remaining in contact with the lees before blending and bottling. The production is overseen by respected Australian winemaker Belinda Thomson as part of the Bodegas Juan Gil Family collection.
