Elegant, vibrant, and a standout among Italian sparkling wines, this bottle from the southern shores of Lake Garda showcases the purity of Trebbiano di Lugana with precision and grace—offering a refined texture, orchard fruit aromatics, and a delicately persistent mousse.

Taste | Pale straw in color with fine, steady bubbles, this wine opens with inviting aromas of pear, golden apple, and white peach, complemented by subtle citrus and floral tones. On the palate, it's crisp yet rounded, with a silky thread of acidity and a clean, mineral-driven finish. The 18 months of bottle aging impart structure and finesse without overwhelming its fresh, fruit-forward core.

About the Winery/Winemaker | Founded in 1960, Zenato is one of the most respected names in Northern Italy, with a long-standing commitment to showcasing the unique terroir around Lake Garda. Their Lugana estate vineyard—planted in 1975—sits between Peschiera and Desenzano, with eastern and western exposures that provide optimal ripening conditions for Trebbiano di Lugana. Crafted using the traditional method and aged on the lees for 18 months, this sparkling wine is a true reflection of place and time.

Why We Love It | This is a Champagne-lover’s Italian secret: crisp, complex, and unmistakably refined—but without the Champagne price tag. The use of local Trebbiano grapes gives it a distinctive character, while the traditional bottle fermentation delivers a creamy, elegant texture. Whether poured as an aperitif or paired with a seafood risotto, this wine always feels like a celebration.
