Taste | Deep, expressive, and captivating from the first pour, the 2022 Syrah opens with aromas of black raspberry, black currant, and ripe red plum layered alongside subtle notes of vanilla, baking spice, and violet. The palate is rich yet balanced, showcasing flavors of blueberry, plum, graphite, and sweet tobacco wrapped around velvety tannins and vibrant acidity. A small co-fermentation of Viognier adds aromatic lift and elegance, while the long finish reveals layers of spice, dark fruit, and savory complexity.

About the Winery/Winemaker | Dineen Vineyards is a family-owned estate located in Washington's Rattlesnake Hills AVA within the Yakima Valley. Founded in 2001 by Patrick and Lanie Dineen and now led by their daughter Marissa, the estate has become known for producing exceptional Bordeaux and Rhône-inspired wines exclusively from estate-grown fruit. Certified through both Lodi Rules and Sustainable WA programs, Dineen's farming philosophy emphasizes stewardship, sustainability, and a deep connection to the land. Every bottle reflects the family's commitment to quality, authenticity, and the unique character of their estate vineyard.

Why We Love It | This wine is a wonderful example of why Washington Syrah deserves a place alongside the world's great expressions of the grape. The addition of Viognier, a classic Northern Rhône technique, brings beautiful aromatic complexity while preserving freshness and balance. It delivers richness without heaviness, structure without austerity, and enough depth to satisfy collectors while remaining approachable today. With multiple 90+ point scores and only 200 cases produced, this is a limited-production Syrah that showcases the best of Dineen's estate.
