Producer Information Domaine de Maubet, a Vignobles Fontan project, was originally a farm given as a marriage gift to Esilda and Maximen Fontan. Their descendants continued practicing general farming (maize, cereals, livestock farming, and wine growing) for generations. In 1985, Aline and Jean Claude Fontan decided to transform the Domain into a property producing exclusively wine.
Since 2000, respect for the environment and traceability have become the new commitments of the Fontan family. Today, the estate is run by 4th generation Nadège and Sylvain Fontan, who maintain the family's dedication to showcasing the native varietals and terroir of southwest France.
Vineyard Notes Located in Gascony in southwestern France, the vineyards benefit from the region's distinctive climate and soil conditions, which are particularly well-suited to the aromatic white varieties that make up this blend. The combination of traditional local grapes (Colombard, Ugni Blanc, and Gros Manseng) with the internationally recognized Sauvignon Blanc creates a wine that is both regionally authentic and broadly appealing.
