Taste
Deep ruby with violet reflections, Centine opens with lush aromas of ripe cherry and mixed berries. The palate is soft and inviting, showing flavors of plum and ripe cherry accented by hints of vanilla and fresh herbs. Gentle tannins and balanced acidity carry through a smooth, satisfying finish that’s designed to shine alongside food.
About the Winery / Winemaker
Banfi created Centine as the gateway to their Tuscan portfolio. Named after a 19th-century farmhouse on the Castello Banfi estate, the wine reflects the estate’s welcoming philosophy—quality, tradition, and everyday enjoyment. The winding road lined with cypress trees depicted on the label leads to the 12th-century Castello, grounding the wine firmly in Tuscan history. Fruit is sourced from hillside vineyards in southern Tuscany, rooted in calcareous, well-structured soils.
Why We Love It
This is a true crowd-pleasing Tuscan red. It’s smooth, reliable, and incredibly versatile—perfect for weeknight dinners, casual gatherings, or customers looking for an Italian red that “goes with everything.” If someone loves Super Tuscans or Bordeaux-style blends but wants something more relaxed, Centine is an easy recommendation.
