Taste
Vivid ruby red in the glass, this Chianti opens with classic Sangiovese aromatics of fresh cherry and subtle floral notes. The palate is lively and well-balanced, showing red cherry and crunchy berry fruit framed by refreshing acidity and gentle structure. Clean, soft tannins lead to a persistent, mouthwatering finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.
About the Winery / Winemaker
Cetamura takes its name from an ancient Etruscan settlement located on the estate of Badia a Coltibuono. Since 1988, the winery has selected its best Sangiovese grapes to produce this youthful, accessible Chianti—designed to be enjoyed early and often. Fruit is sourced from vineyards in the provinces of Siena and Arezzo, and vinified in stainless steel to preserve freshness and purity.
Why We Love It
This is the kind of Chianti that earns a permanent spot on the table. It’s bright, juicy, and unfussy—perfect for pizza night, pasta, or whatever happens to be cooking. Honest, versatile, and full of Tuscan charm, it’s an easy recommendation for both Italian wine lovers and anyone looking for a reliable, food-friendly red.
Vintage Notes (2023)
Spring rains required careful vineyard management, followed by a warm summer that the vines handled well. Lower yields led to wines with good structure and expressive aromatics—delivering balance, freshness, and classic Chianti character.
